Mrs. Lang began her career with CPA Associates in 2010 as a staff accountant, and has since advanced to be become a Partner and Director of Accounting and Auditing in our Huntingdon office. Courtney specializes in auditing, small business consulting, and taxation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES AND MEMBERSHIPS

Courtney is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).

EDUCATION

A graduate of The University of Houston-Victoria, Courtney received a Masters of Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Courtney serves as the Treasurer and is a member of the Ways and Means Committee for Huntingdon County Business and Industry. She also serves as Treasurer for ReInvision Huntingdon. Courtney also enjoys being a member of Rotary International and is involved in the local Huntingdon Rotary Club where she serves as the chair of the Greeter/50-50 committee.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Harry was one of the founding partners of CPA Associates, and has played a role in the firm since its creation. During his early years with CPA Associates, Harry served as the audit partner. In 2008 he divested himself of his ownership interest in the firm in order to pursue additional accounting opportunities.  During this time, Harry served as the Director of Finance for a multi-county nonprofit agency and continued working part-time for CPA Associates. Harry returned to CPA Associates in a full-time capacity in 2012, and has since served as the firm’s accounting and auditing engagement partner.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES AND MEMBERSHIPS

In addition to being a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Mr. Stroup previously was a visiting instructor at Juniata College where he taught auditing for 11 years.

EDUCATION

Harry graduated from The Pennsylvania State University’s Accounting Honors Program where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He has also completed the AICPA’s Governmental Accounting and Auditing Certificate of Educational Achievement Program and was awarded a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Harry has served as the Treasurer of Huntingdon County Habitat for Humanity for many years, and was at one time an active member of the program’s Building Committee. He is also the Treasurer and a founding board member of Huntingdon Landmarks, Inc., and has served numerous terms on the Church Vestry at the Saint John’s Episcopal Church.

Karen is a senior accountant and office manager in our office located in Belleville, PA. She began her career with CPA Associates in 1998. Karen’s primary area of specialization is in small business setup and tax consulting for the English and Conservative communities. Karen is also experienced in QuickBooks training and assistance, IRS problem resolution, and taxation for individuals, partnerships, and businesses.

EDUCATION

Mrs. Itinger received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from DuBois Business College.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Karen enjoys volunteering her time as a youth group leader at her local church.  For the last several years, she has also been a Huntingdon County 4-H leader for the Big Valley 4-H Club.

Shortly after, she took on more responsibilities and her role quickly evolved into accounting assistant. Prior to joining the firm, Tina worked in banking for twelve years. She specializes in individual tax return preparation, sales tax filing, payroll processing, billing, and other bookkeeping duties.

Nancy Kumpf joined the staff at CPA Associates Belleville in 2009. She specializes in payroll and quarterly tax report preparation. Nancy also provides accounting assistance to clients through QuickBooks processing. As a Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP), Nancy assists with individual tax return preparation and problem resolution. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and organizing fund raisers for community members in need. She has also served as secretary/treasurer of her church.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

A CPA since 1977, Mr. Hearn is one of the founding partners of CPA Associates. Early in his professional career, Wayne worked as a Systems Analyst for the US Army and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal while serving in Southeast Asia. Later, Mr. Hearn was employed as a field agent for the Internal Revenue Service, Director of Finance for Home Nursing Agency, corporate secretary for a Pennsylvania software company, and a life insurance agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. He brought the experience and knowledge gained from working in these various positions with him when he founded CPA Associates in 1987.

Wayne serves as the firm’s managing and tax partner. His specialties include: business and individual taxation, small business consulting, corporate and business planning, estate and trust planning, succession planning, and wealth accumulation.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES AND MEMBERSHIPS

Wayne is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Mr. Hearn has also earned designations as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Both designations enhance Mr. Hearn’s knowledge of financial planning and insurance.

EDUCATION

Mr. Hearn received his Master of Business Administration Degree from Cleveland State University in Ohio.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Wayne serves on the Board of Directors for various community organizations including the Huntingdon Community Center, Huntingdon Chamber Community Foundation, Friends of Raystown Lake, and Huntingdon Park & Road Association. In his involvement with both Friends of Raystown Lake and Huntingdon Park & Road Association, Wayne holds the officer position of Treasurer. He is also involved in the local business community by serving as a Regional Board Member for Kish Bancorp.
